The Big 3

A fun filled weekend for our sweet little big girl. We headed to a wedding Friday night. We missed the actual ceremony but know that we crashed to reception!
As we cleaned ourselves up to be presentable and headed out the door, Addie had other plans. She was out cold before we could even hit the highway! The girl knew she wasn't up for being quiet and sitting through a Catholic ceremony, and her parents knew that it wasn't worth waking the beast!
Lucky for us she woke up just in time for the reception to start. With a little cat nap, she was recharged and ready to enjoy some food, cut a rug and explore.
Saturday we headed down the street to Eagle Island State Park. Literally it is only a couple of miles from our house and we are just now checking it out.
Addie loved it! The kid was in heaven with a giant sand box combined with a shallow swimming area!
Did I mention the playground. We had to practically drag the kid away. Actually we bribed her, I am not going to say that I am above a little bribe. Especially if it works.
The magical power of a snow cone!
Today "Augut 8" was a pretty great day. We went to church came home enjoyed a little lunch, took a nap, (Yup, Mom and Addie enjoyed a splendid 2 hour nap) played in the pool, ate some succulent dinner and enjoyed delicious pink cupcakes!

We tried to have a fun weekend filled with Addie approved activities. Knowing that we are about to have some big changes we were not going to stress out trying to have a party on her actual birthday. So we will have a fun kid filled little party for her here in the near future, until then we will just have to listen to her "Happy Birthday" card until it dies or magically disappears;)

  1. No way should that card disappear, her Inotda gave that to her so she could get into the birthday mode and it should bring music to her Mom's ears :)
