Up Up and Away we Go

Here we Go! Us girls are headed to Arkansas for our annual summer fun in the pool vacation!
Nothing says exciting like being stranded at a crummy gas station in Siloam Springs in the muggy heat of the South.
Addie has mastered the Damsel in distress routine. With a bat of her eyes and a sweet please, everyone jumps her beck and call! Lewy and Pops both came to her rescue in Siloam Springs, Inonna and MoMo are quick to help a sweet helpless Addie!
Pops has added a new member to the family. We aren't sure on the detail, but we know she is a keeper! As much as Pops tried to give, kitty, aka, small one, skid mark, or Lucy as Addie has named her, I had to say NO! For days Addie would say, "I luv her Mommy, can I have her" then I would have to say "No Addie Mommy is allergic to kitties" and then Addie would go "What" with a blank stare of confusion.

While Addie whined that she wanted a kitty, Avery was busy learning how to make ugly furniture pretty!
Now that we have fried an engine, been rescued by 2 nights in shining armor, had a secret wedding, a sudden divorce (not mine, still happily married) and endured 100+ temperatures we are happy to just relax in the pool!

Happy Hannants of July

This year we celebrated more than just the 4th of July! We were excited to celebrated Jacob's choice to be baptized. And the Hannants flooded Idaho with all their fury.
Dave and Jod rented the pavilion at Eagle Island on July 4th so that we could have an area big enough for all of us! Good thing, cause their are a lot of us>
Double Trouble! Abby and Addie were so excited about the different floaty options. We had to keep reminding them that not all the floaties were ours! They kept borrowing them off of the beach.
Grandma couldn't even resist a good floaty! The girls signed Grandma up to be their personal chauffeur. The Pink Express Shuttle Service.
To wrap up a fun fun day, of sand, water, burgers and cousins we gathered for our own could-a-sac of fire.
Dad tries to teach Addie the joys of Roman Candles. Maybe next year she will like them better next year. She thought that they were a little to smokey and wasn't a huge fan!
Addie much preffered the view from the safety of Kinley, and I can't blame her!
Yeah for Fireworks! We love them, from a safe distance with a great view!

Addie CAN Swim

After 4 weeks of swim lessons Addie is more confident than ever in the pool! She Love LOve Loves Miss Becca!
Addie mastered the back float, and even swims on her back. The hard part is just getting her to stop wiggling and splashing.
The hard part was getting her to swim with her face in the water. But, once we got her a pair of googles and let Becca work her magic. Addie sprouted gills and became a fish!
It is a good thing that Becca likes Addie. She had to recruit her brother, Preston to help keep Addie busy. Addie got too excited and was way too comfortable in the pool, so when it wasn't her turn she was always finding trouble. Throwing rings, kick boards, and exploring the other areas of the pool and even sometimes she would venture to the bottom of the pool! Good thing Becca and Preston have eyes in the back of their heads. Its almost like that had an alarm that would beep anytime Addie was underwater for more than a few seconds.

All of the their efforts paid off. Addie knows what she needs to do and if she isn't being silly she can actually swim. But I'm not quite ready to take my eyes off of her or be more than an arms length away from her. Just in case! I still can't believe how fast my girls are growing! The time is just flying by!

Summer is Finally Here!

Wooo Hoooo it is finally feeling like Summer! The irrigation is finally fixed, the weather is hot, and it is pool time! June has been full of chilly rainy days, Spring seemed to last forever this year!
We finally started consistently having warm sunny afternoon. Sooo I decided it was time to dig out the pool and fill her up! I haven't been able to keep the girls dry since!

Our family just absolutely loves to play outside. Hence the toys all over the yard, and a yard filled with fun toys instead of flowers! Maybe someday I will actually work on my struggling flower beds. Until that day you can find my bum hanging out in the inflatable pool!
After a fun day of playing in the yard a girl can really work up an appetite.
We love our late night snacks. If you ask Addie she only wants snacks, "no dinner, snack".
Our Friend has turned Addie onto Go Go's. So when Addie has been a good girl the Go Go's fairy will come and leave her a new Go Go. Sometimes they are in interesting places, like a plant, or in her drink. You just never know where that Go Go fairly will leave one. Anyway it is a fun game that they play and Addie loves the surprise of never knowing where or when she will find a new Go Go.
