Come on Spring!

These kids need Spring!
Addie gets so excited to see grass, and keeps asking if Winter is over yet!
When we wake up and see a couple inches of new snow you would have thought someone cancelled Christmas.
But we managed to get Addie off to Pre-school, which in Arkansas the entire down would be shut down and school would be cancelled for at least a day! Me and Ave got out our shovels and cleared our driveway, because like always Paul was out of town.
In an effort to cheer the girls up, I pulled out all of our Easter decorations and made the living room all Spring like.  To bad the yard is still covered in snow and the Christmas light are still on the house, but maybe we will get lucky and not have to celebrate Easter with Christmas decorations!

Just getting Ready for some Changes

We are all starting to get excited for our little brothers arrival.  I know that June is still a ways off, but I find that if I start spacing my purchases out, husband freaks out on me less.
My two sweeties are so excited, but have no idea what it means to be a boy.  Avery is convinced that she has a baby in her tummy, and Addie thinks he would look cute in Pink!  To say the least it is going to be a bit of a culture shock for this pink clad family.
For starters this one had to give up her room for Little Brother, and she was none to pleased about it either.
Now that the girls are sharing a room, things are a little tight but we will make it work.  I guess for starters Mom is going to have to buy less clothes!  The closet space in this house must have been designed by a conservative male.  I'm not even sure Paul's clothes would fit in their closet.
With all these changes it only makes us more excited for our little brother.

A Month of Illness

We barely managed to make it home from Seattle, before Miss Avery started her month long stint of being sick.
I swear I have been to the Doctor and or Hospital more with this kid in the last year than I have been in my entire life!
At least she is a sweet little trooper.  She can be demanding and exhausting but it is still heart breaking non the less to have a sick kid.
So we started off with a bout of Croup, that then turned into an ear infection, which was followed up with the Flu.  So all in all I think we are just lucky that she was the only one to catch the flu!
But I will say 104 is a scary number to see on the thermometer!  We were truly blessed, that we were able to get her healthy and back to her normal Monsterness.

Seattle

Every time Paul goes to Seattle he says, I should bring Addie with me, or we should really tag along.  Finally we made it happen, after 2 cancelled trips and a year of good intentions we finally made it to Seattle!
Like usual something came up and Paul had to meet us there.  Good thing us girls know how to get threw an airport.
We not only had lots of fun with our Cousins, but it was really nice to see our good friend Craig!  The girls love hanging out with him!
Hanging out and taking in all that the Market had to offer.
Believe it or not It was nice to just be wearing a jacket and not trudging thru the snow for a change.
It wouldn't be a trip to Pike's if we didn't bring home a silly souvenir.

All that playing with cousins can really wear a kid out.  Not only was Avery sleepy but Addie was snoring over in her seat.

As promised by Santa Addie was able to pick out her American Girl Doll, and pet Pepper.  She had a lot of fun picking the perfect one!
Paul and I were dressed up for Dave's Kick Off meeting.  I decided to spice things up a bit this year and pick a completely different style of dress since all my other didn't fit so great with the baby bump.  The dress has officially been dubbed my Cleopatra dress.
Our wonderful Dad let his very exhausted wife have his upgrade while he slummed it in coach with the minions.  If that isn't love I don't know what is!
