No More Months, Avery is 1!

I'm ready, I can be one now!
Our baby is on her way to being a big girl, just like her sister. I can't believe how fast the girls are growing!
Presents for Me! Yay Yay Yay!
I'm not sure about this one, but I think I will love it!
Ohhhh I love this one! A baby that is all mine!
I guess I could eat some cake, but whats all the fuss about? We had cake yesterday.
Man, this being a 1 year old is a lot of work! Nobody told me how exhausting it is to terrorise your sister!

The Life of a 4 Yr. Old

Addie Loved all of her days as a 3 year! On her last day being 3 she enjoyed an afternoon of playing Smurps with Dad and talking about her birthday cake and presents that she was going to get tomorrow! To say the least she was a bit excited to be turning into a 4 year old.
Cheese! As Birthday Girl Addie got to pick our menu for the day. Donalds is always a favorite, and now that they are doing Smurf toys, it was a no brainer!
Is is present time, I want to open my car!
Sorry Avery, your day to be queen is tomorrow, until then please stay away from Addie!
Our Smurftastic Family!
If you can't tell we are all about the Smurf or the Smurps as Addie call them. Addie and Dad went to the Smurp movie and then they came home to more smurps and presents!
"Now can I open my car?" Addie decided a few days ago that she was getting a red car for her birthday. My Mom had already ordered her one, but she didn't know that. I carefully hid it and she never even saw it or the box and she knew it was her car!
Sorry Sister, this is a one seater! No squeezing in like we used to do as kids. Don't even think about the tiny space behind the seat!

All in all I think it was a great start to being a 4 year old!

Recovery

After dragging Addie out of the pool and saying all our good-byes.
We loaded up and headed to airport, just to find out that our flight was delayed 2 hours! If only we had know we could have played in the pool and had a decent nap!
But, finally we made it onto our plane and were headed home to see our Daddy and Lel!
Now that we are finally home it is time to undo all bad habits of vacation. Bed time is real and it is non-negotiable.
Okay maybe we are still working on the nutritional lessons of life, until we get there only 1 snow cone a day!
Since it isn't scorch your skin off hot, we now play outside, together, because sisters love each other. Hey it's better than "No Baby No"!
We have even returned to our mail order shopping!
Most Importantly we have resumed a normal bathing schedule, since the pool doesn't really count as a bath!

Slowly but surely we are returning to our way of life. Some days are good and some are better, but we manage!

Lessons Learned at Inonna's

First and foremost, when it is hot play in the water, and if it is really hot play in 2x as much water.

Secondly, fishing is best done in the swimming pool! Scratch that, all things are more fun in the swimming pool!
Dessert is acceptable before, after and even during meals. Oh and on a side note Avery has officially mastered walking and has moved on to a cute waddle run. If she sees ice cream know that she will be coming to steal it!
Don't forget to water the plants, or else Inonna will get scary!
MoMo taught our Shoe fashionista about heels! It is always important to coordinate your shoes with your outfit, even if your wearing jammies!
Never underestimate the power of Addie. Even now as she is looking at this picture she is telling me how much she loves her kitty, Lucy. She wants to know when the kitty gets to come to her house far far far away.
When you can't keep up with the toddler, cage her. Just kidding, Avery is just rebelling and refusing to take a nap. She could reach the light switch from the crib, and often turned the light back on and played until she could play no more.
Fruit flowers are the absolute best in a heat wave! Happy 6th Anniversary. I guess I won't have to worry about being to tired tonight, since Paul is 1,500 miles away!
Clothes are optional!
lastly, if you can get someone to hold you, your feet don't get burned and they give you toys! The fun comes to you instead of having to chase it down!

What can I say, I believe that education is important. We like to make our vacation educational, saving the most important lessons for Summer. You can never trust the public school systems with the important lessons, like accessorizing, nutrition, and manipulation! Which my girls have figured out, they managed to get all the adults to give them what they wanted when they wanted it, amazing I tell you, amazing!
