Some Might Wonder How we Pass the Time

Some might think that 3 weeks is a long time.  I often get asked "WHat do you do?".  Well for starters we watch crap TV.  Yup we all snuggle on the couch and watch/mock absolute crap.
We hang out with Pops. Its true the Husband-In-Law hangs out with the whole family!
We play a little dress up!  The girls really enjoy dragging out all of our old barbie toys, beanie babies, and all things kid related.
Yup we play a lot!  We love our Pops!
Gavin too!  We love our Uncle Gavin.  He comes over and stirs up all kinds of craziness.  Good thing it is still in the 90's at 9pm!
Gavin gave us all a private lesson on Olympic style diving!  It was really educational, but mostly entertaining! Silly Gavin!
Addie has a knack for wrangling people into launching her across the pool!  She loves it when Big Daddy get in and swims with her!
So in a nutshell we mostly hang out with our family, eat some good food, and play a whole lot in the pool!  What else are you going to do when it is a 100 degrees!

Our Newest Cousin

Our Cousin Chelsea decided that it was time for us to meet her new Baby Hazel! The girls were excited to meet their newest cousin and see what kind of toys she had!
Avery is fascinated with baby's.  She loves all kinds, dolls, humans, animals pretty much all things baby.
Addie on the other hand was interested, but not fascinated.  She was more interested in checking out all of her toys.
It is a good thing that Hazel is a good sport, I think she is going to fit in just fine with this bunch of girls!  Avery couldn't hold just one baby she needed to make sure that both the babies were being taken care of.
While Addie is off breaking in all of Hazel's toys Avery was getting excited to hold Hazel all by her self!  Good thing Avery is more attentive then Addie.  When Avery was born Addie liked to hold her until she cried or wiggled then she would push her off her lap!
It is so funny how my two girls can be so alike but polar opposites. My Avery LOVES all things baby, and is terrified of all animals but our Ellie dog.  Addie on the other hand thinks that all animals are her friend and likes babies but prefers to play with baby animals!
But Hazel seems to be a keeper she passed the test!  Both girls love her and are excited about their newest cousin!

How we Vacation

We Hannant Girls are no strangers to vacationing.  We believe that the best way to a successful trip is to take care of yourself!
If it is Summer, definitely protect yourself from the sun!  Avoid a sunburn at all costs!
Don't forget to take a break and rest. No one has fun if one is grouchy!
Bathing is a must.  No one likes a stinky travel companion! As much as they try to tell you that the pool counts as a bath, don't believe them.
Most importantly don't forget to have fun! It's only a little water, and come on its a 100 degrees out there!
Lastly remember that family bonding makes for the best memories! Not necessarily great tan lines, but those fade anyway.
And that is how we Hannant Girls vacation!

Festive Fun

We are dressed and ready to celebrate!
Nothing says fun like an afternoon at Trafalga!
I think those 2 are related.  Some might even think sisters! Good thing we love our cousins!
ROARRRRR! Showing off her new scary teeth.
I swear these kids are like cats! We can't keep them out of the sandbox! Good thing they are potty trained, well most of them.
Grandma or as Avery says "MayMa"
 Enjoying a great impromptu BBQ.
 Watching and admiring from afar.
Avery was the only A who would even think about getting near anything with a sparkling flame! To say the least Addie was still a little traumatized from her up close and personal encounter with our neighbor's fireworks! We decided to go in the basement and enjoy Puss in Boots
We had a fantastic week and are grateful for those who have fought and continue to fight to protect our rights so that we can continue to have wonderful weekends like this!

Water Babies & Vampire Children

Yay for Cousins! OUr long lost family from Forks WA has come to visit! Seattle Forks close enough.
I thinks this relationship is a little one-sided!

We all had a great day at the water park!  Nothing like a whole lot of cousins to make for a lot of fun.  I'm sure thus week will be filled with fun, sun and lots of swimming! Those Seattle cousins are definitely going to leave with a tan!

Doom on You!

Good Morning Saratoga Springs!  What started out as a small fire in the Mountains behind our house quickly turned into this!
Luckily, Paul was in town, and that we were safe!  No damage just a whole lot of smoke!
Continuing in my story of mishaps.  I found these little beauties on eBay.  I was so excited that I won them.  When they finally show up, they are totally smashed!
Third on the list, Avery decided she wanted to turn Paul's car into a mural!  While I was washing the soot and ash off of my car (because I had just finished Paul's) Avery found the sidewalk chalk and created a masterpiece.
They say these things run in groups of 3, but for hopefully it stops at 4. The neighbors, which we love. they are the kindest family, were setting off a few fireworks. I took the girls out front to watch.  Seemed like a fine plan. Until a rogue firework came shooting right at us!  It caught us all by surprise and scared us all! Luckily no one was seriously hurt just a few minor burns and 2 really scared boys! The Dads were mad. but who wouldn't when you walk outside and have a mob of screaming girls running amidst flashes of green and red.
