A New Year

As I have spent the last several hours reflecting on the last several months while I got caught up on this blog.  So 1st and foremost I vow to never get more than 1 month behind on the blog!
As I have reflected on this past year I realized that I have an amazing life and wouldn't want to be anywhere but with my family. I have the best family a girl could ask for, 2 beautiful, smart and funny girls, the cutest most chill baby boy, and I get to share this with the love of my life. I realized that as long as I have my family all of the small stuff doesn't matter.
So this 2014 I am going to be a better Mom, by being kinder and by putting for trust in the Lord (not sweating over the details) and of coarse by working on our food storage. Yes I say that every year I am going to work on my food storage and every year I manage to add a little. I honestly don't know what the future holds for our family, but I know that as long that I enjoy the moments., it too will be an amazing year.
Paul is our goal setter. He is always making goals and figuring our how to reach his goal.  Me on the other hand struggle with that.  So I am keeping it simple this year.  I am not making goals that I am not going to keep.
1st: I will stay mostly current on my blog.
2nd: I will add 72 hr kits to our food storage.
3rd: I will work on being a kinder Mom.
I know they seem a little vague but that is how I work best.  Time kind of stresses me out. If I have an opened ended time frame then I seem to get more accomplished.  So lets see what I can get done this year! Stay tuned I bet its a good one.

Skiing

We finally managed to get our family together to go skiing and so did everyone else in the valley.  We got there in the morning and we couldn't get into ski school or get our rentals in time.
So even though it was a lot of money and a lot of waiting we had a really fun run.
Avery had a blast, Addie got the hang of it during her overcrowded lesson, and now we know that Avery won't wimp out on us.  Which surprised the crap out me.  She has been whiny lately and she is our child who's legs frequently  don't work.
Addie and Avery both did awesome and Owen survived in day care.
Hopefully the next time we decide to have a family ski day we will pick a less crowded day!.Hopefully we will also be able to ride the lift more than once!

The Ice Castle

In Midway they built a castle out of ice.  So we decided to take the girls to see Elsa's Ice castle.
It was so amazing!  The kids had so much fun running around with their cousins and wondering around the maze of ice formations.

 Wow!
It proved a challenge to keep up with Addie.  She kept wondering off with her cousins. She had a blast exploring Elsa's castle.
If we find one daughter we lose the other.  When you have all your cousins running around it proves to be difficult to keep your children together.

Owen isn't exactly sure what he thinks about all of his cousins. I am sure he is thinking "yup they are a little crazy."
Dave and Jody came and spent the week, and we had so much fun hanging out with our cousins. Even if they get a little crazy.

Ice Skating

The girls have been dying to go ice skating and we finally made it!
We wouldn't even think about leaving our little Owen left out. It is a good thing Paul had him.  Me I fell plenty.
Grandma taught Addie how to skate and she was so awesome.  She kept trying to jump.  I think she watched a little too much snoopy.
Addie was too busy skating to join in our family picture.

Merry Christmas

We were awakened by some excited girls!  Addie came in at 7:30 am and excitedly told us that Santa had come.
The girls were not allowed to touch anything until we got up and went down as a family. Avery thought that I was taking so long so she went back to bed. Funny little girl. When I said we could go down now, she looked at me like are you sure you are ready, if not I'm going back to sleep.
Good thing that Addie was so excited about Disney Infinity that she didn't even mind sharing her Elsa Doll. I think this year was the year of the Doll.
I think this year was the year of the Doll.
Owen was especially good this year.  He got a full fledge toy.  Those have been banned from our house until the girls learn to pick up.
Now it is official I have 4 children.  I have lost Paul to Disney Infinity.
Ta Da we now have Rapunzel Avery Hannant with her Princess Pinguin.
We ended a wonderful year and are looking forward to finding out what 2014 has in store for our family.

Christmas Eve Eve & Christmas Eve

This year I feel like I am fighting to stay ahead of the calendar.  There just didn't seem to be enough time between my Ear Surgery and Thanksgiving and Thanksgiving and Christmas!  Man time is flying by.
We finally got around to making our gingerbread house, and this year we did it in leu decorating sugar cookies.
I can not believe how big Owen is getting.
Avery decided that her Christmas Eve outfit was going to be her Razorback Cheerleading dress.  Maybe she is secretly wishing for the Razorbacks to be a decent team next year.
My sweet Addie is turning into such a beautiful girl.
After grabbing some pizza from the Pie was headed to Temple Square to check out the lights.
 Baby it's cold outside!
 But Oh so beautiful.
It was such a beautiful day.  Spending time time as family, enjoying the beauty of Temple Square and reflecting on our Savior was a perfect way to prepare for Christmas.
Merry Christmas!

Jeep Sledding

When the roads are completely covered in snow and it just keeps snowing, it is time to hook up the sleds!
I know it looks like the rope is going to take off Avery's head.  Have no fear we fixed it, but I had already put the camera away. It is hard work hanging out of the back of the Jeep trying to get a picture.
While the girls are out sledding in the cold. Owen was bundle up warm and toasty.
What can i say our Dad is pretty awesome.

Pops comes to Visit.

I failed to mention that I have a condition called Otosclerosis that required surgery. I had the 1st one way back in Sept, I reacted terribly to the medicine and was miserable for days. So when it came time to fix my other ear my Dad came to help out with the girls.
The second time around was actually much better than the first.
By the end of Pops visit we were even up for a few outings.
It wouldn't be a visit from Pops if we didn't go to Scheel's.
We also managed to fit a trip to the Dinosaur museum.
Although the actual surgery isn't all that fun, I am truly grateful for all the love and support from my family that helped me get thru this last few months.  Having a baby and 2 ear surgeries is pretty exhausting.

Just falling Around

Just enjoying a few fall leaves.
Such beautiful afternoons and huge piles of leaves is the perfect recipe for fun.
So Many fluffy leaves, I love it!
Three cuties.  It wouldn't be a beautiful fall day at our house without Kamryn.

Happy Halloween

Our sweet witch! I tried to talk Avery into several different costumes, but no she wanted to be a witch. No theme for our family this year.
Addie wanted to be Mavis again, but Bat Mavis this time.
 Owen wore his Dracula pjs.
Addie couldn't wait any longer. could Daddy get home already.
We even managed to run into Grandma and our cousins.
Lois Lane and Clark Kent had a family of Monsters!
