The Simple Things

Ahhhh Life is Goood, Especially when your Addie!
At this house we find joy out of the simplest of tasks. Ellie dog runs from the vacuum cleaner, Addie tries to ride the vacuum and Avery, she likes cord duty. Chores around here are not for the faint of heart, I have lots of help! If Ellie dog isn't trying to run away she is joining in, and Addie always wants to see what exactly what I'm doing. Avery she knows how to hunt me down if she can't see me, so she is never far behind.
Avery wants to be just like her sister, so it is only fair that she learns how to enjoy the Ipad. Tonight while we were putting Addie to bed, Avery pulled herself up and stood next to us during prayers. It definitely won't be long before those 2 are going to be partners in crime! I can already hear them fighting over the Ipad.
Last night we took a family outing to the Mall, which proved to be just as entertaining as a movie. Addie comes up with funniest things. Dad left me in Ad to go look in a different store. I said "oh no we just lost Daddy, where did he go?" She looks at me with her big eyes and goes "oh no, Daddy where are you. Daddy I find you?" Then she starts running down the hall and looks back at me and says "come on Mom we have to find Dad".
While we were searching for our Dad we walked past the Victoria Secret store and Addie looked at me and goes "swim soups, wheres the shimming pool?" Once we got home Avery tried on her new swim suit, and immediately Addie wanted to go swimming.

Until the weather warms up she will have to enjoy Mom's bathtub, where she likes to practice for Inonna's house! I love how Addie's brain works, she can find just about anything entertaining!

The Good the Bad & the Adorable

Just about the time that I get completely irritated with the girls they do something adorable! Avery is our little sweety, she wants to be a part of everything that we do. Including eat what we eat. I was eating Red Vines and Addie was eating Oreos, thus Avery is covered in both!

Now too bad that we all can't just kick back and relax in the kitchen sink! I mean after a stellar meal of Oreos and Red Vines a girl needs to chillax

Most of the time when the girls are together Addie is yelling "No Baby, NOOOO" (she doesn't share so well)! But occasionally the two play together and it pretty darn cute!

Avery is still at the age where I can pick out her clothes and head ornaments. As long as I can get them on her wiggly body she is good. She doesn't complain, argue, or pull things out of her hair! When an outfit comes together as cute as this one, it makes the battle of the wiggler worth it!

Addie on the other hand... She has just started questioning me, arguing with me and all out acting 3. She likes to pick out her own clothes and has her own ideas as to what matches. It took A LOT of convincing that the pink leggings matched and the brown ones didn't! Plus last year when I purchased the hat she refused to wear it, but now that it is to small she tries to stretch it onto her fat head! Oh and I can't seem to keep her still. She is just like Avery always wiggling, dancing, or running!

We aren't sure where she learned about baseball! But after a few trips around to the neighbors backyard we switched to golf. And after a few more trips to the neighbors (thanks Dad) I decided it was time to play on the swing set. Holy Moly Addie has an imagination. We were off to the moon and back. No worries NASA we didn't break anything, we just explored a little!

After a long trip to the moon it is always nice to kick back, relax and fall asleep on Mom!

Avery managed to sleep through a space expedition. When she woke up she was ready play. While the rest of the family was a little groggy, Avery was wide awake and ready to be independent. She wouldn't let me feed her! I tried forcing the food in her mouth, I tried sneaking it in, I tried everything! She had to eat it by herself and do it her way!

Having 2 independent girls is sometimes a little hard on good ol Mom. However the sweet moments make it all worth it! My favorite times of the day are in the morning when we snuggle together in bed and watch shows (keeping Avery on one side, Addie on the other) and at night when Addie insists that I "nuggle" before she goes to sleep. During that time we tell all the Dinosaurs to leave her alone, and we put on our 3 layers of lip gloss. Those late night potty trips and warning the dinosaurs are all worth it! One gummy smile, a "thanks Mom, your the best" and a "wuve you" are a Moms magic eraser!

Growing Girls!

The girls are growing so fast. Avery has already outgrown an entire bin full of clothes. I put away all the clothes that she had out grown and unpacked some of the 6-12 mo clothes and realized that I should probably cut back on clothes.
Here I was thinking that I was doing better, I wasn't going overboard. But I was wrong. Do you see this closet? Does it look like there is any room in it? It still needs all the spring clothes, where are those going to go?
It is never to young to start eating pizza! Avery is an eating machine, she loves all thing food! Addie on the other hand is a bit more particular, she likes all things candy. Sugary goodness is her true love!
In the spirit of Spring I decided to clean the couch out! I should probably thank Jeff Strong for the $$ and the Strong children for the rest. Every time I clean out the couch I find treasures! After I vacuumed out all the Hannant crumbs, I decided to dive a little deeper into the deep crevasses! I should thank the Strong family for the best couch ever! It is the gift that keeps on giving, 4 1/2 years later and 20+ years old and still going strong!
Dear Future Mr. Avery Hannant, I hope you are ready for a snuggler! It looks like you are destined for the cursed arm of death, until then Lamby can endure the dead weight.
In other news. Ellie dog is now known as Big Red Dog, and Avery is crawler! No more tummy dragging schooching about for her! See ya next week, same bat time, same bat channel!
