Adventures of being Homeless

After hours and hours and hours of driving in the car we finally made it! To the Beach House, not home but close enough.  The house that we are trying to buy has hit a bit of a snag, thus we have found ourselves without a home for a little while.  Thankfully the Parker's have been kind enough to take us in.  The said that their house was full in Portland but the Beach house was empty till Sunday. A few more days with a roof over our head, wink wink.
Sweet Avery is so cute, she is struggling a bit with the idea of moving.  She keeps saying "When we go back to our house." We even drove her by the possible new house and she says she still likes "Our House." Addie on the other hand loves the purple curtains and can't wait to move in.
Paul and I just hope we can get a decent appraisal the 2nd time around.  Being together is great, but we need a routine, without one it gets a little scary.
For now I am so thankful to have such a beautiful place to rest up and recover from all the packing and driving.
We will just enjoy the beach and avoid the thoughts of being homeless and maybe finding a new house.
Owen has been a stud thru it all.  He can find a toy no matter where we take him.
While all the kids friends are in school, we try to keep the girls busy.  Coloring counts as education, right.
Cross your fingers that we can close on our house soon, the girls can only color for so long before they start driving me crazy again!

Are We There Yet?

Oh Mi Oh My, do we have a lot of crap! We loaded up up the Truck and the Trailer, said our final good byes and hit the road.
We drove and drove and drove some more.  Really 2 full days of driving is enough to make you want to claw your eyes out. Anyone who says they enjoy road trips needs to have their head examined.
We survived the night in a hotel, trust me that is easier said than done.  We managed to sneak Ellie in and out while actually getting a bit of sleep. Miracle for sure.  Sometimes it is the little things in life that make one the happiest!  We might have looked like the Clampits driving down the highway, but it kinda takes a lot to keep these faces smiling!

Time to Sail on to Greener Pastures.

Sadly our days in Utah are over, it is time for us to sail away.  (Picture: Addie, age 5, and yes she drew it on our garage wall)
After many helping hands, the Ultimate game of Jenga, plus an extra 6x12 trailer, and giving a lot away we are ready to say Good Bye to our amazing home.  We have absolutely loved our time in Utah.  It is after many tears (by me) that we leave our wonderful home.
I may have started our time in this house with tears and I leave it with many tears and a sad heart.  It was a good home to us, well after many improvements. As I did my final walk thru and noted that it isn't tear worthy anymore.  We rented this home sight unseen, and when I first walked thru it I cried.  It was dirty, it smelled and was gross.  Now it is clean, smells nice and cute.
Lets just keep our fingers crossed that we can find another gem like this one in Oregon.  As we pack up our life with no forwarding address, we have faith that things will work out.  We know that we are suppose to go, (not that I want to) but we just can't manage to get all this housing figured out.

MoMo comes to Visit

Lucky for us we were able to see MoMo one last time before we moved.  We might have had boxes all around, but we still managed to have fun.  Owen didn't mind having an extra set of arms either.
Coming to visit days before the moving truck comes may not be the best timing, but we will take it. With stress levels a little high, we still managed to have a little fun too.
