Just Chillaxin'

These days naps are an essential, usually it is Mom that is attempting an afternoon siesta.
Since we made a few tweaks to the basement setup, I can't seem to keep the girls out!  Who would have thought that our children would appreciate a 60" TV and an ottoman.  At least we know that we didn't waste our hard earned money. (Or at least that is what we tell ourselves)
When Avery is not diva napping she is undoing and destroying.  She seems to prefer toys in every room to ensure that she has a toy at all times.
 Super Ave!
It isn't that we don't love Addie, she just doesn't like to take pictures.  Avery on the other hand begs to have her picture taken

Just a Typical Weekend

After a long week of online shopping what do we do for our date? Go shopping. While on our date Paul had an ingenious idea that we run into Sports Authority to see if they had some gold clubs for Addie.
The very next day they were off breaking them in.  Good thing Jordy came along to assist in teaching the next generation of Hannant Golfers.
Addie was so excited that as soon as she came home from the golf course she tried to teach Avery.  As you could guess it was short lived.  It took a little convincing but finally we were able to convince the girls to aim away from the cars.
In true Hannant fashion we are a family of opposites.  Everyone like to watch/do something different than the other.  Good thing we aim to please, computer games for Addie, netflix on the IPad for Avery, XBox for Dad, and the computer and or sleeping for Mom.  That is the perfect Saturday morning for us. (Well this week it was actually Sunday morning, General Conference weekend)
Addie loves having Dad's office setup in the basement.  She also loves to push the limits of our rules.  So much for no food at the computer, at least she has a towel to wipe her fingers off.
Afternoon naps are also a favorite past time, especially for the parent that gets up in the morning with the kids.  But I will say that a nap comes at a high price.  Usually total destruction.

Yup just as I suspected the destroyer is busy, and that is only the playroom floor.  Luckily this week her destruction all seems to be contained in the basement.
We are excited to be able to be together and enjoy the warmer springlike weather and listen to the councils of our Church Leaders.  Even though it has come at a price, but it isn't like I am not cleaning every Monday anyway.  How can you be mad at those messy cute faces!  especially when they are having so much fun, not fighting!
