Seattle

Every time Paul goes to Seattle he says, I should bring Addie with me, or we should really tag along.  Finally we made it happen, after 2 cancelled trips and a year of good intentions we finally made it to Seattle!
Like usual something came up and Paul had to meet us there.  Good thing us girls know how to get threw an airport.
We not only had lots of fun with our Cousins, but it was really nice to see our good friend Craig!  The girls love hanging out with him!
Hanging out and taking in all that the Market had to offer.
Believe it or not It was nice to just be wearing a jacket and not trudging thru the snow for a change.
It wouldn't be a trip to Pike's if we didn't bring home a silly souvenir.

All that playing with cousins can really wear a kid out.  Not only was Avery sleepy but Addie was snoring over in her seat.

As promised by Santa Addie was able to pick out her American Girl Doll, and pet Pepper.  She had a lot of fun picking the perfect one!
Paul and I were dressed up for Dave's Kick Off meeting.  I decided to spice things up a bit this year and pick a completely different style of dress since all my other didn't fit so great with the baby bump.  The dress has officially been dubbed my Cleopatra dress.
Our wonderful Dad let his very exhausted wife have his upgrade while he slummed it in coach with the minions.  If that isn't love I don't know what is!

Zoo Lights

Once upon a time there was a freezing cold night (every night since Thanksgiving) and the Hannant Family decided to go and admire the lights at the Zoo!
Once we were all bundled up we purchased our overpriced glowing toys, and we were off for a good time!
I am pretty sure Avery was more impressed with her new sword than any of the lights!
Addie on the other hand was mesmerized by all the creations (all the animals were inside asleep).
What can I say this family is full of opposites!
Good thing that I brought the stroller and some extra blankets, it was a chilly night!
Even thou the animals were all out of lights, Dad and Addie were still in Zoo heaven.
At least the tigers had to sleep outside, so we were able to watch them, most all the other animals were in the warm comforts of inside.
But that is OK we were bundled up and had a great time admiring the lights and watching Prancer and Dancer!

How we Enjoy the Holidays

In the beginning I worried that we were not going to have any snow for the Holidays, but boy was I wrong!
Once it started it didn't stop!  We had snow coming out of our eyeballs!
It was fun while it was fresh.
It seemed to make everything a little more festive and gave our Christmas light a little extra sparkle.
We also managed to hang out and sass Mom a lot!
While Avery preferred the warmth of the house, Dad and Addie were always finding reasons to head out into the cold!
Addie would play out into the snow until she turned into a popcicle if I would let her!
It may seem like we hibernated at home but we managed to squeeze in some family time too.
Off for more adventures!
Avery's turn to attack!  Those Price cousins are pretty good wrestlers, but I'm certain that in a few years they won't be able to always win a 2X attack.
When Addie wasn't in the snow she was drawing a picture or creating check lists!
yup, that was enough time inside, back out to the freezing cold! Yes Mom and Avery took our turn on the sledding hill, but we could not take the cold wind, plus my snow clothes aren't fitting so great this year :)

Merry Cripmas!

Merry Cripmas, as Avery would yell!  With another very blessed year we are very thankful for all of our blessing and this opportunity to remember our Savior.
This year we received an extra special out of the ordinary kind of present.  We are getting a baby brother this summer!
We all went and had an ultrasound on Christmas eve and then gave it to a close friend who prepared our big reveal!  It was such a fun surprise!  Paul was prepared for another girl, so when we opened the box he saw purple!  It wasn't until I yelled it's a boy that it even registered in his brain that is was blue and not purple!
After a quick mass text we put our phones away and enjoyed getting spoiled rotten!
After Avery talking about this stroller for an entire month, she was still beyond excited when she was it in her living room!
Ellie on the other hand is still a little unsure about her present!
And of course we spent the rest of the day enjoying all of our new treasures!

How We Pass The Time

The week before Christmas just seems to last a little longer when you are a kid and a super prepared Mom. (Presents purchased and wrapped).  Now it is time to bake! Addie decided to help me on Day 2 of baking treats for the neighbors! Day 1 she was not interested at all! After days of baking and giving them all away I finally make lemon blueberry muffins for our Family. Yes, I did pay a fortune for blueberries, but oh how I have been craving these muffins!  Addie helps with all the mixing and munching of blueberries.  When they were finally finished she was eager to try one takes one bite, and says "Mom those are kinda gross, do I have to eat it?" After that she had me second guessing all the treats that I had handed out over the past couple of Days!  Then Paul kindly reminded me that she was 5 and her favorite food was chicken nuggets, enough said.
Other than baking we have been destroying the house, playing with every toy, and fighting.
We have also been making up but not really meaning it!
And even on that rare occasion we have been getting along and even playing together! Christmas miracle I know!
The girls have decided that the Baby's mattress needs to be sufficiently broken in before it makes its arrival.  As if their two bums sleeping on it wasn't enough!  They have learned to love sliding down the stairs on the crib mattress. No injuries as of yet, but fingers are crossed that this can continue to hold true.
Yup thats our Dad! He is weird we know!
There is our Queen of Destruction in action!

Tis the Season to be Jolly!

This year the girls (and Dad) decided that it would be best of they printed out pictures of their Christmas wishes to show Santa.  All month long the girls have been gazing at their pictures in sweet anticipation for Christmas morning.
Not as exciting as Santa, but still pretty exciting!  Avery decided all on her own that the toilet wasn't as scary as she had once thought!  She is a master potty pooper!
It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas! As Addie looked out the window and saw a beautiful blanket of snow she said "yay, it really is Christmas time".
Nothing better than a snowy Saturday Night swim! Good thing the water is warm and toasty!
Good luck keeping up with those 2 fish! They love the deep end, probably because Addie knows thats the only place she is safe from Avery!
Thank You Krista! After thieving Krista's gloves yesterday, she thought it was best for the girls to have their own!  Addie was so excited for fuzzy gloves that were blue, that she decided to wear all blue to school tomorrow in honor of her new gloves!
Avery on the other hand decided to one up her sister.  Thursday night Addie had stomach bug and puked her guts out.  Avery I guess couldn't be outdone by her sister, she had to get sick just as Mom and Dad were falling asleep and be sick all night long and into Sunday! But a cool cloth, snuggles and a little Dora can make any girl happy!
Lets hope that the illness stops with her! Mom can't take being sick again, and we all know Dad's suck at being sick.  So we are hoping for better luck next week!  We have lights to see, treats to make and Santa's to see!

Surprise

While I was dreaming of all the things I wanted to get surprised with on Christmas morning. An amazing blender, or maybe a beautiful piece of jewelry, or maybe...
A brand new refrigerator!  Nooooooo!  I can't complain to much because the on that we have been using I purchased off of a neighbor for $150. But really it had to die the first part of December!  Before my husband has purchased my present.  I know he has ideas but I know that he never really breaks down and purchases until the last minute.
So Yay! we have a new refrigerator.  Now if only they could deliver it before I go insane! (purchased on sat deliver on Fri, 6 days REALLY!) The surviving food is all in the basement frig, and we are iceless.  Its going to be a long week!
